After completing his apprenticeship as a carpenter, Marc deliberately chose to switch careers into IT. Through adult education he earned a second Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) as a software developer with the clear goal of understanding code and then moving toward business informatics. This blend of practical craftsmanship and technical know how makes him especially valuable as a project manager.
As a project lead Marc bridges IT and classic project management. His understanding of code lets him identify risks early in most projects and respond proactively. He is not a fan of rigid methodologies like the Scrum Guide. Instead he combines methods he knows and tailors them to each project and client, taking the best from all worlds. This flexible approach has consistently led to successful outcomes and solid cost control.
Marc has spent a lot of time on CMS projects and knows many content management systems. “Editor, editor, and editor again” was often the pain point for many clients. In his view DatoCMS is one of the strongest platforms because it finally solves the editor problem.
In ecommerce Marc has a clear favorite for B2B shops, Vendure. He has extensive experience integrating complex ERP landscapes and e procurement systems and has successfully implemented them.
Alongside the larger systems Marc has devoted significant time to building smaller custom solutions for clients, from apps for specific processes with clearly measurable ROI to large central APIs at major Swiss enterprises. Marc covers the full spectrum.

Marc enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughter in nature or fishing. He has fished since childhood and over the years has taken an interest in nearly every style. Lately he has focused on catfish. The raw power of a specimen over 2 meters is incredible and demands perseverance, something that also serves him well in IT. Fishing gives Marc balance and sparks new ideas.
