EDI & Order Automation
EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is the standardised, fully automated exchange of business documents between IT systems. In the context of Digitec Galaxus, this means orders, order confirmations, shipping notifications and invoices are transmitted directly and without manual intervention between your system and the platform.
The most common standards are EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML and JSON, as well as the proprietary formats defined by Digitec Galaxus.
We support you in building and operating your EDI connection regardless of the format or transmission protocol your systems use today. Whether FTP, SFTP, AS2 or API, whether EDIFACT, XML, JSON or CSV: we know the relevant standards and ensure a fully automated data exchange with Digitec Galaxus.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Digitec Galaxus seller programme is open to all types of sellers. The only requirement is structured product data, whether from a source system or via Excel makes no difference.
This depends on the scope of the product range and the existing system landscape. Partial automation can often be implemented within a few weeks. Full automation including testing and acceptance typically takes longer.
As a seller, you pay no basic fees. Only variable sales commissions apply, which vary depending on the product category. We will inform you of the specific terms for your product categories as part of the consultation.
Yes. We have experience with a wide variety of starting situations. Even if product data is currently maintained manually, we can make the path to the marketplace a reality while also providing a recommendation for a long-term data structure.
Yes. Digitec Galaxus offers an EU hub as a customs solution for sellers from the EU. We are well familiar with this process and will also guide you through all the formal steps relating to VAT registration in Switzerland.
