From Commercial Clerk to Product Owner
After completing his Swiss commercial apprenticeship (EFZ), Remo faced the question “What now?” With many interests and visions but little information, he explored a range of jobs and industries, from aviation to real estate to insurance. Luckily, not everything in life can be planned and an agile mindset prepares you well for change. During his time as an insurance advisor he came into contact with the development of internal software and soon made the switch to Product Owner and Project Manager. He has held this role since 2019 in projects as diverse as his career path.
Responsibility Between Stakeholders and Team
As a Product Owner and Project Manager, Remo plans, steers, and delivers software and IT projects. He acts as the interface between engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Expertise and Selected Projects
Remo has implemented a wide variety of projects, including a resource and regional planning platform, an advisory tool for insurance consultants, a housing listings platform, and a university website with CMS. In addition to individual software projects, he has advanced the digitization of business processes at a utility company as a project manager.
Off the Screen
Outside of work, Remo lives a casual life. He and his wife live in Sirnach, tend their garden, and cook according to whatever the mood suggests. He reads fantasy novels and is involved in the world of football, whether on the pitch or in front of the TV. When vacation allows, he heads south, ideally to places with vibrant marine life, where a mask and snorkel are all he needs for his entire stay.

He has particular expertise in insurance and advisory tools. He also guides clients reliably to the finish line on CMS websites, resource and regional planning, and process digitization.
